DESCRIPTION:SCIC Safety Case Specialist Workshop – Human Factors As part of
  SCIC’s efforts to help industry build capability in the implementation of
  Safety Case\, a series of specialist courses on the key elements of the S
 afety Case regime has been developed to provide in-depth training in speci
 fic technical fields.MHIs are required to demonstrate that the risk assess
 ments carried out to aid decision-making on the measures necessary to prev
 ent major accidents or to mitigate their consequences\, including appropri
 ate consideration of human factors.  It is recognized that human factors i
 s a relatively new topic in Singapore and therefore this course will cover
  aspects of Human Factors that are relevant to MHIs.Workshop ObjectivesThe
  1-day workshop on Human Factors is aimed at helping participants to acqui
 re the skills and knowledge in the following aspects:The main aspects of t
 he subject of Human FactorsThe aspects of Human Factors that need to be ad
 dressed in a Safety CaseHow to develop a Human Factors roadmapWorkshop Con
 tentThis course will cover:An overview of the Human Factors subject area a
 nd the elements that are relevant to MHIsA discussion of the elements of H
 uman Factors that MHIs need to include in Safety CasePeople as a cause\, p
 revention or mitigation of Major AccidentsDeveloping a route map for Human
  Factors for submission in the safety case.Scope of TrainingThe scope of t
 he training includes:Human error and high hazard industriesHuman factors c
 lassificationSafety critical tasksTask analysisHuman reliability and human
  error analysisPerformance influencing factorsBehavioural factorsEnvironme
 ntal factorsHuman Factors in safety caseRoadmap for Human FactorsWho Shoul
 d AttendDesignated Safety Case Leads in MHIs\; key personnel who have been
  appointed to coordinate\, prepare\, implement and operationalise Safety C
 ases\, personnel involved with risk assessments or preparing the human fac
 tors roadmap for the safety case\, and any other personnel involved in imp
 lementing Safety Cases.Participants who are registering for the Safety Cas
 e Specialist Workshops are recommended to have a good overview understandi
 ng on the Safety Case regime implementation prior to attending the special
 ist trainings. Participants may also refer to the 4-day Safety Case Practi
 tioners’ Workshop organised by SCIC via www.scic.sgNote: The SCIC Safety C
