  Exchange is an annual flagship seminar organized by the Chemical Standard
 s Committee to highlight the importance of Singapore Standards in promotin
 g health\, safety\, environment\, productivity and sustainability in the c
 hemical industry. As the theme for 2019 focuses on safety\, this seminar w
 ill also include the launch of the new SSingapore Standard on Code of Prac
 tice for Fire Safety for Laboratories using Chemicals. Of particular inter
 est to the industry\, this standard will encompass laboratory unit design 
 and construction\, fire protection\, explosion hazard protection\, ventila
 ting system requirements as well as the storage\, handling and disposal of
  flammable and toxic chemicals.Highlights of this new standard will be pre
 sented by the Working Group experts who developed this standard. SCDF will
  be using this new standard as a conformance reference for fire safety in
