SCIC’s Process and Engineering Committee is organising a Learning & Sharing Session – Fire Safety for Open Plant Processing Facility SS 634.

This Code of Practice for Fire Safety for Open Plant Processing Facilities in Oil, Chemical and Process Industries is a Singapore Standard that provides fire safety guidelines, requirements and design for building open process structures and facilities. This standard also provides guidance for open plant structure installation and is applicable to new project and modification to existing facilities.

The key areas of the standard cover the layout and spacing, drainage, means of escape, emergency response, emergency isolation, depressurisation and deinventory as well as passive and active fire protection.
